In 2023, Lali Safavi, Diane Pappafotis and Pamela Bausher created SkirtSoFlo, a magazine specifically for South Florida's LGBTQ women. As a publication of The Skirt Foundation, our mission is to serve as a platform to highlight the contributions that our LGBTQ community makes to the arts, literature, music, food, business and life that we see all around us each day. We do this to connect and uplift our South Florida women's community, and to celebrate gay South Florida as a mecca for arts and culture, as well as sun and fun.

SkirtSoFlo has been a labor of love from its inception. We are a core group of volunteers who create, produce and distribute the magazine monthly, and offer it free to the public. Our support comes solely from our sponsors and the generosity of our community through donations.
